Steps New York has grown into a beloved women’s fashion retailer with a strong presence in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and recently Texas. Following the successful launches of our first Texas stores at La Plaza Mall in McAllen , we are excited to announce our newest opening at The Galleria — and we’re seeking a passionate, results-driven Store Manager to lead this flagship location.
About the Role
As Store Manager, you will be the heart of the store’s daily operations, responsible for building and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and exceed sales goals. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, has a keen eye for merchandising, and can drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and train employees, fostering a customer-focused, high-performing team culture.
- Lead and inspire store staff to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales performance.
- Oversee all daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining brand-aligned visual standards.
- Monitor sales data and KPIs to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- At least 3 years of retail management experience is required.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient with basic computer applications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates highly preferred.
- Passion for fashion, styling, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
